What’s Covered

Standard Warranty Coverage

Our 2-Year Peace of Mind Warranty includes:

Manufacturing defects
If there’s a fault with how the shutter was made (faulty mechanisms, defective materials, or poor construction), we’ll repair or replace it.

Installation issues
If something isn’t fitted properly and it affects how the shutter works, we’ll come back and sort it out.

Component failures
If parts such as brackets, chains, or mechanisms fail under normal use, we’ll replace them.

Motorised systems
Motors and electronic components are covered for manufacturing defects and failures under normal use.

What’s Not Covered

To be transparent, the warranty does not cover the following:

Normal wear and tear
Shutters are used daily, so gradual fading or minor cosmetic changes over time are normal.

Accidental damage
Damage caused by children, pets, guests, or accidents isn’t covered. (However, we can usually repair it for a reasonable fee.)

Misuse or neglect
Using shutters in ways they are not designed for or ignoring basic care instructions.

Alterations or third-party repairs
If someone else repairs or modifies the shutters, we cannot guarantee the work.

Force majeure
Damage from extreme weather, floods, fires, or other events beyond anyone’s control.

Removal and reinstallation
If you move house and want shutters reinstalled elsewhere, this is not included (though we can assist for a fee).

Commercial use
Our warranty covers domestic use. Residential shutters used in commercial environments may wear more quickly.

Inappropriate cleaning
Using harsh chemicals or cleaning methods that we advise against.

Extended Warranty Options

Some of our premium products include extended manufacturer warranties.

Premium shutters
Up to 10 years on selected shutter ranges.

We will always inform you if your chosen product includes extended warranty coverage when you place your order.

How to Make a Warranty Claim

Step 2: We’ll Assess the Issue

In many cases, we can diagnose the issue over the phone.

We may ask for:

  • Photos of the issue

  • A short video showing how the shutters operate

  • Your original order details (which we normally have on file)

Step 3: We’ll Arrange a Solution

Depending on the situation, we may:

  • Talk you through a quick fix

  • Send replacement parts with clear instructions

  • Arrange a visit from our team

Step 4: We’ll Put It Right

If a visit is required, we will:

  • Arrange a convenient appointment

  • Inspect the issue in person

  • Repair or replace components where possible

  • Order any necessary parts and return to complete the repair

Timeframes

  • We aim to respond to warranty claims within 24 hours

  • Simple fixes can often be resolved immediately

  • Replacement parts usually arrive within 5–10 working days

  • We will always keep you informed throughout the process

What We Need From You

To keep your warranty valid:

Use shutters normally
They are designed for everyday use in a domestic environment.

Follow care instructions
We provide guidance when your shutters are installed.

Report issues promptly
Small problems are easier to fix early.

Maintain suitable room conditions
Excessive damp, condensation, or humidity can affect shutters.

Allow us to handle warranty repairs
Please avoid attempting repairs yourself while the product is under warranty.

Aftercare & Maintenance

Looking after your shutters is simple and helps them last longer.

Regular Cleaning

Shutters

  • Wipe louvres with a dry or slightly damp cloth

  • Use diluted washing-up liquid for marks

  • Dry thoroughly after cleaning

  • Occasionally wipe hinges clean

  • Check screw tightness annually

Operational Care

Recommended:

  • Operate shutters gently and smoothly

  • Fully open or close shutters instead of leaving them half-open for long periods

If you notice:

  • Fabric caught or misaligned

  • Slats stuck or damaged

Installation Guarantee

In addition to product warranty, we guarantee our installation work.

We ensure that:

  • Shutters are fitted securely and safely

  • Shutters operate correctly when installation is complete

If an installation issue occurs, we will return and fix it at no cost.

Your Responsibilities

To maintain your warranty, please:

  • Report issues within a reasonable time

  • Allow access for inspection or repair

  • Avoid attempting repairs yourself during the warranty period

  • Use shutters for their intended domestic purpose

  • Follow basic cleaning and care guidelines

  • Maintain normal room conditions (temperature and humidity)
